What have they done to Syria!

When the usual suspects  - those who midwived the Muslim Brotherhood takeover of Libya,  Egypt and the Maghreb  - favour a so-called "rebel"  side, my warning lights switch on and my nearly Pavlovian reaction is to listen to their opposite side.

I have done so  by watching this video which I found on Vlad Tepes and right now I am crying.

This "Syrian Diary"  is long, and it is gruesome, quite unbearably so, but it somehow looks very much like the truth to me. That truth which we are not told by the BBC, RTL (France), ABC (Australia) and assorted  little lapdogs of powerful propagandist string pullers like Al Jazeera, nor by the Obamas, the Clintons, the Hollandes.

I must warn you, some of the scenes are extremely  shocking and not for the faint hearted, but I also think it's one of the most important temoignages of what is really happening "over there" and "over here".

At one stage in this video the orders for this devastation are said to come from Qatar and Saudi Arabia. This reminded me that after the suicide by cop  of   Mohamed Merah  (the Islamist who murdered the little children in a Paris school, because they were Jewish) a video he had shot of his murderous rampage was sent to Al Jazeera  in Paris who were going to publish it even  before the little bodies were quite cold and it's only after Sarkozy's (the then French President) negotiations with their "head office" (in Qatar) that  Al Jazeera  desisted.

Who is pulling the strings?

Update:

Saudi Wahhabi Preacher Issues Fatwa Allowing Jihadis to Rape Syrian Women

Muhammed al-Arifi, a very influential Wahhabi  cleric from  Saudi Arabia  has  issued a fatwa (religious edict) that permits all Jihadist militants in Syria to engage in  "marriages" with Syrian women lasting  a few hours in order to satisfy their sexual desires and boost their determination to kill  Syrians. He calls this invitation to rape an  'intercourse marriage'. It requires that the Syrian female be at least 14 years old, widowed, or divorced.

This is the side that Obama and assorted  Socialist Western Governments  like France and  Australia (under our new Islamists-schmusing Foreign Minister) have chosen to side with.

My heart goes out to the real Syrians!

Pamela Geller

A woman I admire.

"The Anthem"
Leonard Cohen

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in...

The birds they sang
at the break of day
Start again
I heard them say
Don't dwell on what
has passed away
or what is yet to be.
Ah the wars they will
be fought again
The holy dove
She will be caught again
bought and sold
and bought again
the dove is never free.

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.

We asked for signs
the signs were sent:
the birth betrayed
the marriage spent
Yeah the widowhood
of every government --
signs for all to see.

I can't run no more
with that lawless crowd
while the killers in high places
say their prayers out loud.
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
a thundercloud
and they're going to hear from me.

Ring the bells that still can ring ...

You can add up the parts
but you won't have the sum
You can strike up the march,
there is no drum
Every heart, every heart
to love will come
but like a refugee.

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.

Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack, a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in.
That's how the light gets in.
That's how the light gets in.

Uprising of women in the Arab world

"I AM with the uprising of women in the Arab world because I would prefer to be free on this earth [than be] a heavenly virgin.'' Revealing only her eyes, the young Syrian woman called Lama became one of thousands to post her message on an activist Facebook page that has attracted more than 82,000 followers and exposed a renewed personal and political struggle for women's rights all over the Arab world. The idea is simple: post a picture of yourself with the phrase ''I am with the uprising of women in the Arab world because … '' and finish the sentence with your reason.  (from here)

My favorite message is  from this brave young boy; it  reads:
"I am with the uprising of women in the Arab world because
I am 16 years old and according to the law, I am the guardian of my widowed mother.

Revolt mother!

You are strong, you are free!"

I found this strangely disturbing video on Vlad Tepes and, but for the comment at the end, in very old German which I read as meaning  "nip invading weeds in the bud", I would not have understood that the artist is actually AGAINST this oppression of women.

Christmas Cards from Israel, Paris and Australia

While Australia's  biggest mosque put  a  "Fatwa"  on Christmas, and only one political leader in France, (Marine Le Pen) wished their Christian citizens "Joyeux Noel", the message from Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu was there, unprompted, in time, inclusive and showed, once again, what a real political leader should be like.

"...While Netanyahu takes flack for speaking the truth about Islamic treatment of Christians throughout the Middle East, Israel continues to be a beacon of hope for Christians, Jews, and Muslims alike who wish to live in peace, without fear of oppression based on religion. Were Jesus alive today, by contrast, he’d have to take a bulletproof bus out of Palestinian-controlled Bethlehem simply to avoid being killed or imprisoned for his Judaism"writes sheikyermami.

A  Christmas card from Paris

A  Christmas card from Australia

"Christmas Day"

The north wind is tossing the leaves.
The red dust is over the town;
The sparrows are under the eaves,
And the grass in the paddock is brown;
As we lift up our voices and sing,
To the Christ-child the heavenly King.

Quote of the day:
"If the Nativity were retold today, Hamas would kill Baby Jesus because he was Jewish."
Who said that? I lost the source but perhaps it was said in the first person ;)

Count-down to Christmas

Around this time of the year I get a little Heimweh for my old country, not so much because of its people as for the snow...

Contrary to what you might have heard at those quaint little fake Oktoberfests that are held around the globe, all is not Bier, Schunkeln and Humptata in my native Bavaria, have a listen to this very authentic Bavarian Advents song:

And yes, I too, am dreaming of a youknowwhat:

Naughty Postcard from Sweden

"Quelles sont jolies les filles de mon pays!"
How pretty they are, the girls of my country!

Ah qu'elles sont jolies les filles do mon pays
Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai
Oui qu'elles sont jolies les filles de mon pays
Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai

Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai
Oui qu'elles sont jolies les filles de mon pays
Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai

Quand un garçon leur la cour il sait déjà
Qu'il n'aura rien de leur amour la première fois
Il doit s'engager, it doit mériter
la main qu'il retient déjà dans sa main

Car elles sont les filles, les filles do mon pays
Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai
L'honneur de la famille les filles de mon pays
Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai

Celui qui sait se faire aimer sera heureux
Elles n'ont rien à refuser à leurs amoureux
Oui mais pour cela il faut voir papa
Il faut voir maman une bague au doigt

Ah qu'elles sont jolies les filles do mon pays
Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai Lai
Oui qu'elles sont jolies les filles de mon pays

"A philosopher," said the theologian,

"is like a blind man in a darkened room

looking for a black cat that isn't there."
"That's right," the philosopher replied,
"and if he were a theologian, he'd find it."

"Nacht und Nebel" (*)

From Vlad Tepes:

 NOW...

 THEN...

NEVER EVER AGAIN ? !

(*) "Nacht und Nebel / Nuit et Brouillard" explained

In the end
it will not be the words of our enemies
that we will remember,
but the silence of our friends.

Une carte postale de l'ONU

One of the most important (and banned!) speeches at the UN - I have posted it when it came out, but here it is with French subtitles, pour mes amis francais, and it's as relevant today as it was a few years ago:

Alle Menschen werden Brueder...

autobiographisch...

Symptom Recital

I do not like my state of mind;
I'm bitter, querulous, unkind.
I hate my legs, I hate my hands,
I do not yearn for lovelier lands.
I dread the dawn's recurrent light;
I hate to go to bed at night.
I snoot at simple, earnest folk.
I cannot take the simplest joke.
I find no peace in paint or type.
My world is but a lot of tripe.
I'm disillusioned, empty-breasted.
For what I think, I'd be arrested.
I am not sick. I am not well.
My quondam dreams are shot to hell.
My soul is crushed, my spirit sore:
I do not like me any more.
I cavil, quarrel, grumble, grouse.
I ponder on the narrow house.
I shudder at the thought of men.
I'm due to fall in love again.

Rockets into Roses

Although this post  is an  advertisement (of sorts), it’s certainly not a paid one, I just LOVE the story and I think it It shows  the quintessence of those two sides soooo clearly.

Over 12,000 Kassam (Qassam) Rockets have been fired into southern Israel in the last 8 years(*), deliberately targeting Israeli civilians, causing chaos, destruction and death. An entire generation of children has been traumatized by the terror of ongoing rocket attacks. Israeli cities such as Sderot and Ashkelon continue to be in real danger...

(*) Both videos are nearly 4 years old and things, if anything,  have deteriorated since the so-called “Arab Spring”.

Hand sculpted roses, candlesticks and menorahs crafted from actual Kassam Rockets that landed in Israel, symbolize the perseverance of the people of Israel. Living symbols of Israel's endurance in the face of Hamas and Islamic terror. Yaron Bob, an Israeli artist, who understands what it means to live in the shadow of terror, has found his way of transforming objects of war into expressions of peace. He creates metal art sculptures that blossom with hope: A magnificent rose with a mission.

...and while  the Jewish artists make roses out of the deadly rockets, HAMAS Arabs, these favorite “victims” of the media  name their children “in honour of these deadly rockets”.

Dont let the UN obscure the truth

In a region where women are stoned, gays are hanged, Christians are persecuted, Israel  is different. Of the 300 million Arabs in the Middle East and North Africa, only Israel's Arab citizens enjoy real democratic rights. Israel is not what is wrong about the Middle East. Israel is what is right about the Middle East.

Bibi Netanyahu (20 Iyar 5771; 24 May 2011)

And let's not forget the Muslim sector. Israeli Arabs form 20 percent of the country, but consume 52 percent of its social benefits.

Just a normal day at the UN

Shame Australia Shame :(

The face that launched a 1000 slings and arrows
into the hearts of those who believed the Australian Prime Minister
when she promised to stand by Israel.

Australian Foreign Minister, Bob Carr

In what denomination will the 30 pieces of silver come?
A handful of votes from these people  perhaps?

Streets of Sydney Australia 2012

And here the face of a courageous woman who, steadfastly, stands by Israel.

My letter to the Prime Minister of Canada

Office of the Prime Minister
80 Wellington Street
Ottawa, ON K1A 0A2
Fax: 613-941-6900
E-mail: pm@pm.gc.ca

Dear  Prime Minister,

I am a German born Australian, and although not Jewish I admire that  embattled, brave little country Israel and its people.

What happened a few days ago at the UN is disgraceful and I am especially ashamed of the cowardly "abstinence" by Australia, my country of residence, and Germany, my country of birth. The no-vote of France, where I spend part of the year has not surprised me as it is now, if not completely islamised, so at least seriously into full dhimmitude and  even more anti-semitic than to Dryfus’s time.

BUT, the most honourable mention for being brave, ethical, decent and not running with the wolves goes to YOUR government. You increasingly seem to be the most courageous voice for freedom and honour in these times which rather favour totalitarian group think. As a German born after the holocaust, I am horrified to see that my "NEVER EVER AGAIN" seems to be more and more endangered.

I hope that had I lived during the last holocaust, I would have been a brave voice against Nazism, but I will never know.

However I just KNOW, that the people in your government who made the decision not to run with the pack, would have been on the right side then, as they are now.

Thank you for your courage and for showing us that there is still some honour in some governments.

Sincerely,
.......

And a copy of this letter should also go to the Czech Republic who seem to be the only enlightened country in Europe.
