Goodbye Belgium

Jacques Brel sings the beautiful flat country that was Belgium

This Belgian Jewish family cries the beautiful flat country that was Belgium.

The galloping rise of anti-Semitism, the murderous attacks in  Toulouse, invasive islamism etc. are driving other families to  leave Europe and countries they have called "home" for  generations.

PS: No more Belgian chocolates in our house:
Chocolates made in Switzerland are better anyway,

  1. can't make up my mind if people of Belgium and france r really so anti-semic or that the muslims hate for jews is creating a social atmosphere where it is ok again the refresh old hates outside in europe. i wonder how can't the Christians see that "after suturday comes sunday"? can't they see that the same instincts that are driving the jews out will turn against them (already)?
    watching in horror from israel.

  2. Thank you mony:)

I like your "after Saturday comes Sunday" short and to the point. It reminds me of the powerful statement attributed to Martin Niemoeller(*) about the failure of Germans to speak out against the Nazis:

“First they came for the Communists,
but I was not a Communist so I did not speak out.
Then they came for the Socialists and the Trade Unionists,
but I was neither, so I did not speak out.
Then they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew so I did not speak out.
And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me.”
